The Physical Health and Wellness program at Camp V.O.W. helps veterans improve their overall health through customized plans tailored to each person's abilities and needs. We create integrated regimes focusing on both physical fitness and mental well-being.
Through personalized fitness routines, group training sessions, nutritional education, and new skill-building, veterans gain motivation and tools for empowered self-care. We enable long-term lifestyle changes toward healthier and fuller living.
Personalized Training Plans
We work one-on-one with veterans to assess their current health, set realistic goals, and design appropriate fitness regimens. Plans can include exercise routines, nutrition and supplement guidance, lifestyle changes, and supplementary supports like braces or adaptable equipment.
For those managing disabilities, depression, injuries, or trauma, our adaptive training helps regain mobility, strength, and confidence at your own pace. We work with you to build physical and emotional strength gradually, without judgment. Seeing progress through fitness can translate into psychological and emotional healing. With inspiration from peers and coaches, veterans progress beyond perceived limitations.
Group Training Sessions
In addition to personalized guidance, we facilitate group training sessions. Gathering to exercise builds camaraderie and accountability to keep making progress. Veterans motivate each other while sharing tips learned along the way.
Seeing tangible gains in endurance or skill mastery also translates into psychological and emotional healing for many. We journey with veterans before, during, and after sessions to integrate new wellness habits as a lifestyle.
